Vientiane
Day 1: Arrive Vientiane. Transfer
to Hotel. During the afternoon, see procession of Phasat Pheung
( bee castles ) from Vat Nongbone towards the That Luang Stupa.
Explore the different handicraft and show stalls at the That
Luang Fair.
Day 2: Early
in the morning, arrive at the That Luang Stupa for the great
alm giving ( Tak Bat ) ceremony. See thousands of monks from
all parts of Laos participate in this most sacred of events.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and later, tour Vientiane.
During the afternoon, attend a local polo tournament between
the “ People “ and the “ Official “ teams.
Day 3: Tour the Morning Market, shopping for souvenirs.

NEW YEAR FESTIVAL TOUR

Luang Prabang
Day
1: Arrive at Luang
Prabang airport. Transfer to Hotel. Luang Prabang city tour and shopping.
Day 2: Early in the morning , experience the new year
traditional fair, featuring handicrafts from the Surrounding
area. During the afternoon, experience the new Year's festival
which takes place on an island on the Mekong River, build
sand stupas, enjoy dancing, singing, and the traditional throwing
of water.
Day 3: Morning boat trip
to Pak Ou Cave one of Lao's most famous caves, with thousands
of sacred Buddha images. Later, observe traditional rice wine
distillation in Ban Xanghai village. During the afternoon,
participate in the New Year's processions along the main road.
Experience the traditional dance of the Laotian Ancestors
( Pou Gnen Gna Gneu ). Also witness the new Year's parade,
featuring Miss Songkran. That evening, experience the watering
of the Buddha images in the local Pagodas.
Day 4: visit the local
market, then transfer to airport for departure. |
